Meet Reese Ward, Care Navigator!
During the World Cup and beyond, our team members demonstrate what care-based response looks like in action. Because behind every PAD assist is a person committed to helping another person move forward.
The Best Assist - Reese Ward
“At PAD, we don't just provide services, we build relationships, restore hope, and help people find a path towards stability and success.”
If you could leave people with one message about PAD or the people PAD serves, what would it be?
My message would be that the people PAD serves are more than their circumstances, mistakes, or challenges. They are individuals with strength, potential, and stories that deserve to be heard. Sometimes all it takes is one person believing in them, one opportunity, or one act of compassion to change the direction of a life. At PAD, we don't just provide services, we build relationships, restore hope, and help people find a path towards stability and success. Everyone deserves dignity, support, and a chance to thrive.
PAD had an official team motto; what would it be?
PAD works to meet people with dignity and respect, build meaningful relationships, and create opportunities for individuals to achieve stability, recovery, and self-sufficiency. Every interaction is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a second chance and access to support.
What does "meeting people where they are" mean to you?
To me, "meeting people where they are" means accepting individuals without judgment and recognizing that everyone is on their own journey. It means understanding a person's unique circumstances, challenges, and strengths before offering support. Rather than expecting someone to fit into a specific mold, we adapt our approach to meet their immediate needs, build trust, and empower them to move toward their goals at their own pace. This philosophy is at the heart of effective case management and meaningful community engagement.
